Creating his first pinhole camera out of a Quaker Oats barrel in fifth grade, Eric spent the rest of his grade school and high school years in and out of the school's single darkroom. It was during this time that Eric found his love of photography and the photographic process.
During his senior year in high school Eric received a brochure from the Rochester Institute of Technology's photography department and realized that he could make a career out of his passion. Enrolling and receiving a degree in Imaging and Photographic Technology, Eric began to make the leap from traditional film to digital and started working in the emerging multimedia industry. Focusing on the development of multimedia and internet applications, Eric had the opportunity to live and work in London as Creative Director for a large e-commerce consulting firm.
Eric co-founded and served as Creative director for The Push Group, a prominent interactive marketing and communications firm for over 10 years. Eric's photography became fully integrated in to the creative process, and clients appreciated an assignment photographer as opposed to more generic stock photography. In 2008, Eric wanted to pursue his love of teaching and started to teach part-time at the Washington School of Photography in Bethesda, Maryland. He specialized in classes in Studio Lighting and Digital Imaging.
Currently, Eric works for Leica Camera.
